You’re missing the symbolism involved in the film, which was more than a bit creepy

Don’t know about creepy.
It’s the black humour, absurdist, surrealist, pointless, inexplicable violence genre – think Life of Brian, Monty Python, The Young Ones along with Scream – all hysterically funny to those who like that sort of thing. (Me included)
Unfortunately, this is not a universal taste. Worst of all, the video is not even funny by those standards. I presume that some comic genius could just possibly do it to get a message across, but that genre’s appeal lies in its absurdity and pointlessness.
Trying to use it -to make a point- was pretty well doomed from the start.
